Welcome to Day 7 of Embody & Bloom: The Foundation Yoga Series, exploring trauma-informed yoga for rest and nervous system support. This is part of my trauma-informed yoga series designed to gently support sexual trauma survivors in reconnecting with their bodies through safety, presence, and choice.
If you like, I welcome you to explore the full series overview and all seven practices here: Embody & Bloom: Foundation Yoga Series
If you’d like to explore yesterday’s practice, I invite you to learn more about Day 6: Deepening Self-Compassion. We tend to ourselves with restful poses, gentle self massage, and movement to feel supported in your body.
Today marks an important moment in the series. If you’re exploring the first seven days as their own journey, you’ve arrived at the final class. If you’re continuing through the full 14-day series, this is the halfway point.
No matter which version of the series you’ve decided to join, I’m so honored to have you here. This isn’t meant to be another checklist to complete, but a gentle way to tend to yourself. I welcome you to be kind with yourself, knowing you didn’t have to show up perfectly. You arrived in your own way, and that is always enough.
Today, we’re taking a moment of rest and honoring our journeys. All that you have been through to get here, the steps you’ve taken to heal, the moments that might have gone unnoticed by yourself. Whether this is your first step on your healing journey or part of a larger care plan, you’re welcome here all the same. Your journey deserves to be honored and this class is here to recognize this. Your presence is all that’s needed today.
Honoring Your Healing Journey
Healing journeys are often filled with moments that feel subtle. Changes might happen slowly, overtime, and it’s only when we look back at the start where we see what might have shifted. This can look like:
- choosing rest instead of pushing past our limits
- noticing less self-judgment
- returning to grounding in activating moments
- feeling more connected to our bodies, breath, or space
Whether this is a first step on your healing journey or part of a larger support system, you are welcome here.
What to Expect in This Trauma-Informed Yoga Practice
This 25-minute trauma-informed yoga class focuses on gentle movement, grounding, and deep rest.
We’ll explore:
