There are more options for healing...

If you’re new to your healing journey, or can’t seem to find an avenue that fits your unique personality, it’s fair that you may feel as though you have two options for healing: speak about your trauma or do nothing.

While traditional talk therapy is a healing avenue I always recommend along any holistic practice, there are other ways to find release with no need to speak about your experiences.

For many, retelling their experience can be re-traumatizing or triggering. The beautiful news is that there are more options available.

Trauma-informed yoga is a research-backed healing modality for survivors – giving so many what they never felt they could experience before: healing through movement and feeling. If you feel deeply, like to express yourself through movement, art, or music, this comes naturally. You may have been told you’re too sensitive or emotional. If you’ve survived trauma, you may even feel as though your sensitive nature is to blame.

As a sensitive survivor of sexual trauma, I understand how these feelings can manifest, leading to self blame within our emotions, and tension in our bodies. And while we may have explored other healing avenues, it may still feel as though we’re missing a crucial element: expression and feeling.

When we’re able to heal in a way that feels intuitive, creative, and focused on following feeling, we can give ourselves the opportunity to nurture our sensitive selves.

This is why I created Mind Body Heal, a 3 part ebook collection that gives you the foundational information to holistic healing through trauma-informed yoga. You’ll learn how trauma becomes stored in your body, which leads to tension, digestive issues, pelvic pain, and more. You’ll explore how to work with your body and how to create a yoga practice designed to follow your intuition – even if you’re a total beginner or feel disconnected from yourself and body. You’ll also explore somatic techniques to support activating moments outside of your yoga mat and gain an understanding of exactly how yoga creates balance within you.

As sensitives, we tend to express empathy toward others. We can extend this to ourselves with an understanding our symptoms, nervous systems, and imbalances. Ultimately, you’ll define a clear path for your healing that honors unique experiences after sexual trauma, how to soothe your body with techniques, and resources to put you in control of your yoga practice – leading to rebuilding your intuition.
