Nurtured Release Yoga Series

Gentle Trauma Release with trauma-informed yoga + somatic exploration

In seven days, you’ll explore specific techniques to release sexual trauma, tension, and stress so you can harness bright energy, natural confidence, and effortless embodiment – all without triggering poses or techniques.

Your Body Holds Trauma...

and when it's not processed,

you experience symptoms like uncomfortable tension, fatigue, and feeling like it’s safer to live in your head instead of your body.

Yoga is a research-based method to release trauma...

but not all yoga is the same.

If you want a yoga practice focused on release, you need the right tools, resources, and information. This can quickly become an overwhelming and confusing journey.

You're not alone
if you're facing

1

Tension in your body that won’t go away, digestive issues you can’t explain, or extreme exhaustion (even after a full night’s rest).

2

No motivation. Your to-do list feels overwhelming, including simple things like showering or grocery shopping.

3

Frustration because nothing speaks to your sexual trauma symptoms. Everything is either about trauma in general or daily life stressors.

4

Fear from being truly seen for your authentic self. You want to love deeply, trust whole heartedly, and get back into your creativity, but at the end of the day you just don’t have the energy.

you're not alone in your symptoms

Hi! I'm Laura

Owner, Chamomile Yoga & Certified Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher

Nice to meet you!

As a sexual trauma survivor, I know what it’s like to wonder if I’ll ever feel like my old self again.  I didn’t think I’d ever reach the point I’m at (let alone put myself out there for the world to see).

When I first started my healing journey, I was completely lost.

I wanted to soften the tension in my body that seemed to follow me everywhere, but nothing made a difference. I tried anything labeled holistic, mindful, and grounding, but they all had one major flaw:

Everything I tried felt like it was designed for people who had a stressful day at work, not for sexual trauma healing.

I felt alone, confused, and completely exhausted. I decided to stop putting myself out there and try to just “move on.” The symptoms soon arrived.

I faced uncomfortable tension, extreme exhaustion, nightmares, and I was terrified to get close to anyone.

I felt like I was given a life sentence for something I never asked for.

But then, without trying, I experienced my first trauma release.

I practiced yoga for years, and one day I broke down and sobbed on my mat. I can’t explain it, but I knew at that moment it was related to my trauma. I felt lighter, and the crying wasn’t a hopeless feeling, but like I needed to let it out. It was the first time since my trauma I felt like I could truly breathe.

Confused, I went straight into research mode and learned I had a release.

From that moment on, I learned everything I could about how to promote release and reconnect with my body.

Oddly, the more I practiced, the more I wanted to take charge of my healing. I found a love for myself I couldn’t before. I started therapy, explored additional healing avenues, and was finally ready to be seen again.

It all started from that first release I had in 2020.

Now, I make it my mission to give you what I never had: sexual trauma release through yoga.

I wanted to be specific to sexual trauma healing because every trauma isn’t the same. I wanted to create something so you can learn everything I did without the confusion and frustration I faced.

You deserve a transformational yoga series that speaks to you and honors your lived experiences so you can release trauma, feel safe in your skin, and live a vibrant life.

Because you’re worth it.

Hope to see you inside!

With trauma-informed yoga and somatic teachings, you can release your hold on trauma with compassion and softness.

what is trauma-informed yoga?

This is a style of teaching traditional yoga that honors the lived experiences of trauma survivors. This means:

Classes Include

A priority of safety, trust, and choice. It's not about if your poses look right, but about if it feels right.

Emphasis of your mind and body connection, nervous system balance, and intentional movement.

Accessibility. I list all poses for each class, multiple pose options, include transcripts for meditations, and offer multiple payment options.

Classes Exclude

Triggering poses, cues, language, techniques, and practices that ask you to forgive others

Judgment. We all have unique experiences, anatomies, and preferences. It's about making yoga work for you - not the other way around.

Pressure. You'll never be told to do something a certain way (close your eyes, remain still, sit with it.)

Trauma-informed yoga is a research-backed healing modality

what the research says

This method of teaching yoga gives you so much more than your usual yoga class.

Here are a few major benefits of trauma-informed yoga:

Supports women with PTSD experiencing PTSD, depression, and anxiety symptoms. It's especially helpful for those who did not respond to traditional talk therapy.
Helped women veterans with a history of MST (military sexual trauma) benefit from an array of behavioral health conditions and showed more self compassion and ease toward themselves.
Improved participant’s emotional regulation and skilled awareness, both of which have the potential to reduce PTSD symptoms, specifically in sexual assault survivors.
